We invite you to join us for the second "Ukraine's Freedom Run Independence Day Bound Marathon," commemorating the 33rd anniversary of Ukraine's Independence. This event is a collaboration between Stand With Ukraine Foundation, Andriy Khomitskiy, the renowned coach, two-time Men's Physique IFBB World Champion and the “Wake Up” community in LA.
🗓 When: August 24th at 7 am
📍Where: 2525 Ocean Front Walk, Santa Monica, CA
🅿️ Parking: Lot 5 South
This year’s run carries the slogan “Have fun and save lives.” By registering for the event, you'll contribute to our goal of raising $5,000 to purchase 200 tourniquets for Ukraine’s brave defenders.
We will start our journey with a flashmob, where all attendees will form a "Tryzub," the Ukrainian coat of arms. The Tryzub, or Trident, symbolizes independence, a cause for which Ukraine is now valiantly fighting.
The marathon is one mile long, making it accessible for everyone, whether you're an experienced athlete or just starting your fitness journey. At the finish line—the iconic Santa Monica Pier—we’ll proudly display a 100 ft long Ukrainian flag and walk with it across the entire pier.
Let’s come together to celebrate this historic milestone and promote the spirit of freedom and unity through this empowering marathon.
